Roll II was the first film I attempted with my grandfather’s Nikon FM.
I haven’t yet decided how I want to organize my film photography process. I’ll explain more in a separate blog post, but the number next to each roll indicates the order in which I developed the film. This method does not take into account the camera I used or the type of film. One of the rolls I developed belonged to my grandparents; it was left in the camera when they stored it in the closet for the last time before giving it to me.
Roll II was entirely experimental where I took spontaneous shots around my local area. Each photo was more or less a guess, but surprisingly, the Nikon’s built-in exposure meter worked very well even after all these years. Most of these photos were taken with the Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 that came with the camera. However, there are also a few pictures from a local park taken with a zoom/macro lens. At the time of writing, all of my gear is packed away for my overseas move, so I’ll check what exact lens it is once I have all my equipment back.
I used MPIX to develop the film, and I am very pleased with the results.
