Film Roll 3

May 2024

Nikon FM + Kodak Gold

At this point, I still hadn't developed any rolls of film from my Nikon FM camera. Film can be quite expensive, so I wanted to accumulate a few rolls before sending them all to MPIX for development. Around the same time, I got a motorcycle. One of the reasons I love photography is that it encourages me to explore the outdoors. While riding around in Maple Hill, NC, I came across an abandoned gas station off a country road, which turned out to be a perfect location to test some film with my motorcycle.

One of the biggest challenges I've encountered with the film camera is determining if it is level and where exactly it is pointing. I've included some of my bloopers in this post, including what would have been a great photo of my wife and me if I hadn't accidentally cropped out my head.

All of these photos were taken with the Nikon FM and Nikkor 50mm F1.2.
