By this time, I had received my film scans back from MPIX and discovered that the Nikon FM works almost flawlessly. We already had this trip to NYC planned, so I was eager to shoot on film while in NYC.
I was very pleased with how all of my photos turned out. Although I had just purchased a Sigma 70-200mm lens for my A7IV, I found it too cumbersome to carry around. As a result, I primarily shot on film for most of the trip. I brought both a Nikon FM and my wife’s Minolta X-700 along with me. I alternated using slower-speed film during the day and 800 ISO film for nighttime shooting between the two cameras.
After this trip, I still had some shots left on the roll, so I took some photos around Topsail Island the following weekend to finish it up and send it in for development.
